About Tori
Tori Seites-Rundlett, M.S. CCC-SLP
Tori Seites-Rundlett, M.S., CCC-SLP is a speech-language pathologist and the owner of Songbird SLP. She received her Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Rhode Island in 2015. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) from the American Speech-Language Hearing-Association (ASHA) and is licensed as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Rhode Island. She has experience working with children (ages 3-10) and adolescents/young adults (ages 14-21) with a variety of diagnoses ranging from Autism, Dyslexia, Downs Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, ADHD, Developmental Delay, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, and Phonological Disorders.
Tori uses a holistic approach to service delivery by working closely with families as a whole to support the client's development in natural settings, implementing play-based therapy strategies with an emphasis on connection and self-regulation, and incorporating mindfulness, movement, and music for fun and engaging therapy experiences.
HOME-BASED and COMMUNITY-BASED SERVICES
- Providing services in the home or community settings allows clients to develop skills in familiar, comfortable environments.
- Parents, caregivers, and siblings can be active participants in the therapy process, facilitating a collaborative effort in helping the client reach their goals.
- Therapy strategies can be implemented in daily routines and using relevant, motivating toys and objects within the client's natural environment, allowing family members to continue using the strategies throughout their day-to-day activities.
- Caregiver coaching can happen in real-time, empowering family members to learn and apply strategies with support along the way.
CLIENT-CENTERED THERAPY
- Songbird SLP operates using a client-centered, play- and strengths-based approach to therapy. Playful experiences support learning and development, and clients are engaged and motivated to learn when their interests, preferences, and needs are valued and validated in the therapy process.
- Development of self-regulation skills through co-regulation supports is emphasized to facilitate each client's access to learning and self-expression.
- Music, movement, and mindfulness are incorporated into therapy sessions to facilitate progress towards goals through regulation and active engagement.
